The Man In The Street
Dear ones, the day is long and short at the same time. The man in the street is fat and thin at the same time. How do I know? Because the tears he’s crying tell me so. The tears he’s crying are rich in salt and water, both of which have very old stories to tell indeed. The salt tells the story of the thin man who withdraws from the world because he’s afraid of the way the fat man kills everyone. The water tells the story of the fat man who fights the world because he’s afraid of the way the thin man diminishes everything. All tears hold this truth. That’s what makes them roll down the man’s face with such rapidity – truth weighs a fair amount. Truth plus gravity = downpour, deluge, a flood of tears.
